Mainly, to individuals of low resources who have no access to private practice medicine of ophtalmological specialties. As well as to marginalized individuals that have no resources. We have entered into collaboration agreements with government institutions such as ISESALUD (State Health Department) and social clubs focused on healthcare. Jointly we provide attention to patients in communities that, for lack of information and economic resources, they do not get problems that could cause the loss of eyesight treated, such as cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy, among others. |

Early Detection Clinical Campaigns |

These clinical campaigns take place once per month. In collaboration with government organizations such as ISESALUD and several non-profit organizations focused on healthcare. We provide free attention in order to detect early eyesight illnesses that cause blindness. |

Preventive Programs for Children |
||
This program consists in providing attention to children in orphanages. Consults are given for the detection of cataracts, strabismus and poor eyesight. Glasses are given out and if required, patients receive the necessary surgeries. This program is undertaken jointly with Fundacion para la Proteccion de la Niñez (“Foundation for the Protection of Children”). It takes place once per week throughout the year. |

This program consists in surgical campaigns where individuals with cataracts, strabismus and glaucoma are operated at a symbolic cost and in some cases at no cost at all. This program is for patients that cannot pay the Foundation's recovery fee. |

Its purpose is to educate healthcare social workers, so they in turn can educate people in the prevention of eyesight illnesses that cause blindness. Seminars about the different ophthalmic pathologies and their cares are taught in marginal neighborhoods throughout our city. This activity allows entire families to obtain information about eyesight healthcare. |

Scientific Research Programs |

The objective of this program is to develop new ophthalmology procedures. The patients that are admitted to the research protocols (previously authorized by the Ministry of Health) do not pay throughout the year. Surgeries are practiced with technology that is five years ahead than the technology used in developed countries. |
